I've had a loong break from blogging. But I have an excuse! We're having another baby! We're so excited to meet this little person! And we're certain that Filip will make a great big brother. The reason I have not been blogging (or knitting) much is that I haven't felt all that great the last couple of months. Lots of tiredness and nausea... But things are finally better now, although I still have to make sure that I always have food around (hungry =extreme nausea). Luckily, I haven't gained a ton yet. In addition, I have just started working full time as a teacher. Fun, but also challenging. So, sadly, I don't always have a lot of energy left at the end of the day for knitting.
The white wrap onesie I started pretty much as soon as I knew I was pregnant (a loong time ago), but my knitting mojo disappeared quickly. I made a serious effort to finish it in between the waves of nausea a month back when we were visiting my lovely family in-law. And then suddenly, right on the sleeve where you can see the needles, I got very fed-up with the project. And nothing was done on it for a month. But lo and behold, tonight I finished the first sleeve and started the second sleeve.
The Baby Surprise Jacket was actually started when I was over a week overdue with Filip. I didn't have time to finish it before he was born. But I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and finished it. It is so much fun to see how it actually turns into an almost seamless jacket! Not too happy with the contrast colours, though.
But oh, it feels good to have some of my old knitting mojo back!
